Donations and Monthly Giving

Any amount of donation at any time is so very critical to our animals in need.

Shelter Supporter

Join our monthly giving program that allows you to give conveniently and automatically with either your membership or as a stand-alone donation. A Shelter Supporter donation allows us to plan and budget more efficiently and expand spay and neuter and outreach services to alleviate the problem of pet overpopulation and homelessness, not just react to it.

Angel Fund

Anderson Animal Shelter (AAS) provides outstanding medical attention and care to ALL of the homeless animals that come through our doors. We depend on your kindhearted donations to make these miracles happen.

Planned Giving

Estate gifts, commonly called "planned gifts," include bequests, securities, charitable trusts, life insurance, retirement accounts, and more. By naming AAS as a beneficiary, you leave a legacy that continues your compassion and commitment to animal welfare.
However you decide to include AAS in your estate plan, tell us about it! Find out more about our Planned Giving Program and how your gifts can help our mission at (847) 697-2880 or email the Development Department at: development@andersonanimalshelter.org. We also recommend that you contact your attorney to set up any planned giving arrangements, as they can best advise you what will work for you and your family.

Charitable Remainder Trust

It offers advantages to AAS as well as you and your loved ones. This irrevocable trust will pay you an income for life or for a period of years. The trust can also pay income to a spouse, children, or others. At the death of the beneficiary, the remaining principal in the trust goes to support AAS.

Charitable Lead Trust

Similar to the previous option except AAS typically receives the income from the trust for a stated number of years and then the remaining principle passes to a beneficiary. The lead trust is ideal if you are willing to forgo investment income on an asset, but do not want to have estate taxes reduce the principal passed on to heirs.

Charitable Gift Annuity

Designed for people 60 years of age or older that want to make a tax-deductible legacy gift while receiving a lifetime annual income from that gift. The donor receives a guaranteed stipend for life. Upon their death the remainder amount is added to the AAS endowment fund providing a stream of income - forever.

Animal Sponsorship

Your gift of just $35 or more helps us to provide care for any one of our shelter animals. This one-time gift sponsors an individual animal until it is adopted. Your financial support directly assists animals through services such as: adoptions, lost pets, spay/neuter assistance, lifesaving medical treatment, and adult and child humane education programs.

Volunteer Opportunities

Over 500 volunteers help AAS animals become adopted through a variety of work efforts including veterinary services, animal care and socialization, customer service, humane education, and assistance with public events. For information on how to get involved, email Jeff Pal, Director of Volunteer Services at: jpal@andersonanimalshelter.org

Estate Planning

Making a charitable donation is a wonderful way to honor or memorialize an individual or pet while showing your compassion for the homeless animals who are still waiting to find their forever families.

In Honor or In Memory Donation

What better way to honor a special person or occasion (perhaps a birthday, wedding, anniversary or holiday) than by helping others? Looking for the perfect way to remember a special person or pet? An honorary or memory donation to Anderson Animal Shelter will help further our efforts to provide shelter and care for the thousands of homeless animals that enter our doors each year.

Advertise Your Company

Advertise
Too many new clients? Schedule constantly booked? No? If your business is like most, you struggle to bring more qualified clients in the door on a very limited marketing budget. And that's why we're pleased to announce new targeted, very affordable advertising options that will not only greatly benefit your business but our shelter and shelter animals as well! Consider advertising in our Pawprints newsletter and reach over 9,000 circulation in addition to the online electronic version of Pawprints that stays on the website for up to a year.

Sponsor an Event

Anderson Animal Shelter hosts four events per year.  Our newest event will be coming in the Springtime and is PET EXPO, focusing on a holistic  and green approach to the way we care for our pets and ourselves.  The Annual Golf Outing is held in July and brings in 144 golfers at some of the nicest golf courses in Kane County.  Our Jewelry Faire is held in Geneva on the same weekend as the Festival of the Vine and is a smashing success!  Our biggest event is our Annual Gala and Auction in November.  All of these events bring in needed revenue to help support our mission and your sponsorship not only helps you gain recognition as an organization that supports our efforts, but helps you reach new clients, new friends, and we all benefit!

Donation Banks at your place of business!

Show your support to AAS and place one of our new plexiglass donation banks at your place of business.  Our logo is beautifully etched into the front of the new banks and this is a wonderful way to show you support the animals and encourage others to do the same.
