Anderson Animal Shelter’s Position On Feral Cats
Anderson Animal Shelter recognizes that a feral cat problem exists in our community like most communities throughout the world. Anderson Animal Shelter is proud to join the ranks of humane societies, animal shelters, and animal control organizations that practice Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR).
It is our hope that embracing the TNR philosophy of feral cat management will result in a decline in the number of free roaming cats in Kane County. We encourage individuals who are feeding outdoor cats to practice TNR and we are available as a resource to Kane County citizens who want more information and guidance about TNR. The Trap, Neuter, Return method of feral cat management is truly the most compassionate solution to a very large problem.
